Building Wellness Access for the AAPI Community — 2022

In 2022, I reached out to colleagues, practitioners, and schools in Chicago to compile free wellness resources for AAPI community members and staff at local organizations.

Through those efforts, I was able to connect the community with:

  • Zen Shiatsu in Evanston — offering free wellness services through their student clinic, in partnership with Asian Americans Advancing Justice

  • Blue Lotus Thai Healing Studies — Thai massage by Director Paul Fowler, a longtime colleague committed to honoring his lineage

  • Jennifer Dubowsky, L.Ac, offered free acupuncture in River West.

  • Pacific College of Oriental Medicine — Gave 20 free passes for the AAPI community.

  • Healing Foundations — complimentary NADA acupuncture sessions

  • Lok Kwan Cheng — free Qigong workshops

  • Gina Saka, LMT-Integrative Bodywork, Chicago — free craniosacral balancing sessions

This work reflects the foundation of my practice — that every person, regardless of background, deserves access to dignified, compassionate care and to be treated with dignity. As part of my commitment to whole-person care, I refer clients to trusted organizations that provide inclusive, affirming support for women.
